Back to Now

He’s the only person in the world who can make her laugh and weep in the same breath.
She knows why he pulled her back, why he kissed her gently and fiercely, why they had to let every morsel of finger and body touch.
It didn’t feel like a last as she closed his new door behind her.
Her hand can only curl around three of his fingers and his thumb. She feels safe there, in the fold of his experience.
He is her home.
